Is it easy to get a suite as a freshman?

Depends on your definition of suite.

If you mean a Max suite, then it's pretty easy if you submit your housing form relatively early.

If you mean a Shoreland quad with kitchen, dining room, and living room, then it's a good deal tougher--but still possible.

If you mean a Shoreland two room triple with or without kitchen, then it's more likely, but you should still put in a specific request, and you may not get one.

Is this (2007-2008) school year the last for the Shoreland?
How is the new dorm near BJ going to be organized? Will it have suites?

I believe the as-of-yet unnamed new dorm that's going to be built in my backyard will have a little bit of everything. Max-style suites (two side-by-side doubles plus bath), Shoreland style apartmenty suites, and singles. It's going to be huge and it's going to be phallic.

Thanks-- it will be interesting to see.

Do you think it will be listed on the housing forms or is it going to be a last-minute thing?
