Hi, I'm an incoming freshman that was placed in a double, in Hitch Suites. I've been browsing through the new and old CC forums for info about the suites, but there's been scant info about them. The only posts I could find were about people who were against suites for their lack of social opportunites, and posts by people wanting to switch from suites to halls.

I know social opportunties are way less at suites, but can student groups mitigate that? Can I crash a hall's party or activities? And generally speaking, are there any other factors (besides lack of social events) that would cause people to switch from suites to halls?

Thanks!

Well are you in a suite because you are an athlete? If so that is good because all the athletes have suites and you can hang out with them..

if not - well it isn't hard to switch - but honestly living in one place or the other isnt going to make or break ur social life - ull still meet people in other places but if ur that concerned then yah just switch

I'm not an athlete. I didn't have any housing priority (such as Honors, athletes, etc.)

Hmm, good point you have there. I'm sorta wondering about the amenities I'll lose by switching, though. But if the social life is the same...

I live in Hitch this year and have not been terribly impressed with the social life. However with that said I should also mention that I have made some very good friends and meet my girlfriend living in Hitch, so it can't be that bad.

I loved my time in Saxon. I made some good friends there that I still keep in touch with.
