Suite Style Dorms

What are some colleges that have suite style dorms because I can't have a public bathroom lol? I have had two bad experiences with public bathrooms. I prefer you would mention good colleges.

UAlbany. Not a big fan of having 6 guys with one bathroom that’s cleaned once a week though

I don’t like a hall full of guys each sharing a bathroom. Also I was attacked in a bathroom in high school so would rather not be in one with more guys then necessary.

Dartmouth has some dorms open to all classes (including first years) that are suite-style and have private/semi-private baths (1-2 people/bathroom)

Probably Princeton (maybe?). But for the most part, freshman get down-the-hall style bathrooms, and upperclassmen are able to get suites. From my experience anyways. Maybe if you go to a college where freshman can join a frat, it might be different.

I was hoping colleges that aren’t Ivy League status because if I got in one of them I wouldn’t care were I peed lol.

Most of the dorms at Washington University in St Louis are suite style.

Find colleges that you like, fit your stats, and you can pay for, then check out the dorm sitch and eliminate those that are unworkable for you. You’ll find many with what you are looking for. Also, talk to the housing folks and find out what accommodations might be made for your issues.

Rhodes has pairs of 2 person rooms connected by a bathroom between, and some first-year men are assigned to them, but not all. My guess, though, is that – given your unfortunate experience – your request to be housed in a suite might be honored.

You’ll probably actually be surprised how many colleges offer suite-style. It used to be that almost everyone had the type of bathroom that’s down the hall, but it seems that more and more campuses are switching to suite style.

One I can think of off the top of my head…The Claremont Colleges. They’re good schools without requiring “Ivy League” stats.

University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa has wonderful dorms! Some are specifically for Honors students but there are Suite style dorms available to all incoming students. My DS is in a 4 bedroom 2 bath suite. Each bedroom is 10’ x 10’. There are 2 hall vanities and 2 toilet + shower baths. You enter into a large furnished livingroom with table & 4 chairs. The kitchenett has a standard size fridge, sink, microwave and large pantry. Their are also 2BR/1 bath Suites as well as single suites but the rates are higher.

This is my son’s second year at UA. He hardly ever sees his suitemates due to schedules and verying interests. My first apartment after I married was not as nice.
