I know 2 in Program 1. (DPS RK Puram). I’m from Delhi, and no.

I got accepted too…Is there a facebook group created for those going to the program yet?

@HatsOnAKabob: I’m from DPS RK Puram. My name is Shiven Mian. I also applied this year though I got rejected. This was the first time I applied. Aditya Khandelwal got through, Pushkar is waitlisted I think, Shayon didn’t apply. I don’t know any other guy who applied.

To the others: Solved all questions in the problem set, proved all theorems used, achievements were fine and I got rejected. I’d applied for Financial Aid and this is the first year I’ve applied for SUMaC. Please tell me: Could applying for Financial Aid and this being my first year be a reason for my rejection? People are saying it might because Financial Aid is not offered to international students that much.

^ I’d like a previous SUMaC Student to answer this.

Thanks.

@shiven: I heard you got in. But anyway, I did all questions last year as well. ECs and Academics were fine. Still got rejected. It happens.

And I am. Congratulations on figuring out the anagram.

I heard you got rejected because you applied for Financial Aid. Khandelwal told me.

Hahahah okay. :P

@HatsonKabob Congratulations for getting in!
Heard a lot about you!
So as you didnt apply for financial aid …do you anyone who got financial aid?

@Shiven Mian - Did the guy Aditya you mentioning got aid?

No. I was the only one in my school, and amongst the people I know, who applied for aid.

@mathsoul: where are you from?

A guy in our school, who passed out last year, got into Program 1 like 3-4 years back and paid the full fee. The next year, he got into Program 2 and got financial aid because Rick Sommer wrote his recommendation. That’s what I’ve heard.

How do all of you guys know each other?

Stanford University Mathematics Camp (SUMaC) 2013 is the facebook group

Hi guys. I’m Aditya Khandelwal. Heartiest wishes on your selection. I live in New Delhi. Admitted to Program 1. Did not apply for financial aid(I knew I wouldn’t get it anyway :P). Hope to meet all y’all at Stanford during the summers. Pretty excited. :D

when I searched on Facebook, I did not find any group named Stanford University Mathematics Camp (SUMaC) 2013, so I guess it’s not created yet?
