Hi, I Am A Junior In California And I Am Accepted To Sumac 2007
I Know It Is A Selective Program And I've Heard How Great It Is.
But I Was Wondering If It Helps To Get Into Competitive Colleges Other Than Stanford
Do Those Colleges (liek Ivy Leagues Or Mit) Know About This Program??

Don't do the program just to try to get into competitive colleges other than Stanford.

I don't think there's a way to tell really. Students at the program are very bright and would probably get into top colleges without having been a part of SUMaC. Of the students who were at SUMaC my year who were rising seniors when we were at camp, I think about 8 of us are at Stanford now, 1 at Brown, 1 at Princeton, 1-2 at Harvard, 1-2 at MIT, 1 at Yale. There were less than 40 students altogether, and about half were seniors, so that's pretty good. I know there are at least three more who are at Stanford who were juniors.

If you have Rick or Rafe write a recommendation, I assume they would briefly explain what the program is. Or you could explain briefly in an essay about SUMaC.
