Summarized Version of Advice

So after visiting UPenn, I had sort of a revelation/second wind about college and trying, and I am looking on advice to improve my slim chances at getting into an ivy. I am going to try to improve on everything, but this is what I've got so far:

General Info: White male junior at very sheltered, upper end public high school.

Academics: About a 3.7 uw, top 10% of class, very high rigor with all honors and AP courses, had a rough last term with mostly B's, looking to average out to a's for final grade.

Scores: 1370/2160 (700 M 670 CR 790 W) 1400/2060 (740 M 660 CR 660 W) I'm looking to hit 800 M and 700 CR this October.
ACTS: took last week, could probably range from 27-34, hopeful for 32/33.
APS: none yet, APUSH chem and stat this year, calc AB and BC along with lit next year.
SAT 2s: Likely to take US I, Math 2 and Chem

ECs: pretty average, no standouts, most effort into athletics and state championship caliber soccer program. Also do band, MHS, NHS, one of original five in starting math team, other small things. Scattered community service and leadership with 80 hours at a soccer camp one summer. CCD program and confirmed. Awards: a dumpy math one and Spanish award winner for our class. No scholastic or academic competition/awards besides math team.

Essay and recs: willing to put time in over summer for essay, likely generic recs.

So any general advice? If you need more than this long post, here is my original attempt:

Quick disclaimer on the soccer, I played freshman jv and then was injured this year so I had to manage, so I haven’t actually played at the varsity level this year :frowning: , but my coach hinted that I would’ve this last year.

Bump bummmmmmp

Bumpppppppp

Bumppppppopo

Ugh *** people bumppp

Your GPA is on the weak side. And the number of AP indicates your class load is not too challenging that may lead to that GPA. Try to get SAT above 1500/2200 and ACT above 34 if you really want to try the ivy leagues. The other schools should be fine with your current credentials.

Thanks! Idk I don’t really feel like with how my school sets up prerequisites and our schedule that I could’ve taken any more APs while taking band, but that might just be me.

nothings certain but up your gpa and scores

Bumpppppppop

pick up your Critical Reading. Dartmouth is probably a reach. I would ED cornell if you can pick up your sat and if your ranked in the top 10 percent

Mike I hate you so much you hacker
