Waterloo asked me to send them a summary of my activities over the last 4 years. I don’t volunteer I’ve been working full time and going to another university full time, does this mean that I won’t have a chance? Also how should I format it? Should it be a list or a short essay? I literally will have one point on there saying I went to university and worked full time… please help!
I would format it like a resume. You haven’t done anything else besides volunteering? Any clubs at your university?
I have no volunteer experience. I work full time and I’m a full time student at another university ( I occasionally am parttime) I’m unusually working so many hours and i recently just started my own business on top of working full time ( currently taking a semester off because I’ve decided to transfer my credits to Waterloo)
I can not afford to be in clubs as I have a mortgage to pay too… and I’m not even 22 years old yet.
“I literally will have one point on there saying I went to university and worked full time…”
I think those are two items.
Given that you have been doing what is essentially two full time jobs at once, I would expect them to understand that you didn’t do anything else. Tell them what you have done, be honest, then relax and after dinner have a beer (assuming that you are at least 19, and aren’t about to drive).
I assume that you are applying as a graduate student.
Undergrad, I’ve been exploring a variety of courses - I didn’t find my passion until I started taking sciences. The university that I’m at right has a very crappy science program basically I have to share the lecture room with 100+ students its a miracle if I find a place to sit at the lecture hall and I’m always 15 minutes early…
