Summer 2012 Transfer Decisions

General Admission and/or Program applicants? Accepted/Denied/Pending? Anyone's Transcript Loaded Yet? Any inside info?

Hopefully this thread starts rolling soon :)

Summer Transfer - General Admission here, applied to UW Seattle and UW Bothell. My transcript hasn’t loaded at either school, and I’ve had no contact with UW Seattle since submitting my application beyond setting up an account with the UW website. UW Bothell did e-mail me a few weeks ago and ask for an updated transcript from when I initially applied, but since then, nothing.

Getting nervous like everyone else, we’re almost through May. Not sure what I’ll do if they don’t send out decisions until June, the other school I applied to already started their summer courses, but thankfully there is a late start block I can attend if I don’t get into either UW school, or don’t hear back in time.

Good luck to you and the rest of the applicants waiting.

Thanks for the info. I applied for general adm. as well, Seattle campus only…In my case, I don’t know if it makes any difference, but I was accepted for for Winter 2012; I couldn’t attend, and couldn’t defer my admission, so had to reapply. Now, they have contacted me recently for an updated transcript as well, but no changes on the website ‘application message’ or anything since. Hoping for the good :)

My unofficial transcript loaded today, I’m wildly excited, but I will temper it until I get an official letter from the school. I clicked on the UW Seattle unofficial trancript, but I get the same screen when I click on the UW Bothell transcript, so now I’m not positive which school accepted me. Anyone know how to check this?

Has anyone had their transcript load and then NOT get offered admission?

As i’ve never heard of anyone being rejected after their transcript has loaded, you should celebrate - but moderately, in case they’ve made an unlikely administrative mistake.

And, since you have both, bothell and seattle transcripts, loading - check if each one states the corresponding campus on it. If so, it is likely that you’re accepted at both campuses.

Congrats :)

Also, when you log into myUW, and when you click on your application (admission application information) under the admissions, what does the message say? Is it “Than you for…We will inform you when…” or “We’ve reviewed…” or something like that?

My application message hasn’t changed for either school, still just says I will be notified by mail when a final decision is made, and the transcript doesn’t specify a specific campus.

In my case, the campus was specified only for Bothell, not for Seattle (i got admitted into both). So, there is a good hope that you are going to Seattle :)

Hey Guys,

My transcript just loaded today. Good luck to everyone else!

I have a hard decision to make now. University of Rochester or UW…

At least I have options. UR is a better school, but smaller and 60k a year! UW is bigger, has more options, and A LOT cheaper. The decisions…

Hello,
I am hoping to transfer from a 4 year but haven’t had my unofficial transcript load yet. Does this mean there is no chance?

I’m in the same boat as collegequestions928734 and getting pretty nervous…

To those of you that have had your transcript load/received an acceptance letter, what do your stats look like? (4yr/cc? GPA? credits? intended major?)

Don’t worry guys. The UW’s official timeframe for notification hasn’t passed yet.

Got my denial letter today. Pretty much expected it to be a denial. Looks like I’m trying my luck at WSU.

slsniff, I’m sorry about that. I hope that WSU will want you. It all might turn out even better :)

It’s rough to be patient and keep in mind that, officially, we are no worse off without loaded unofficial transcripts ir letters until the notification period when so many applicants are being accepted :/

UW probably has some sort of order when admitting or mailing their letters - being different for 4year transfers, cc transfers, program applicants, or just general admission applicants…

But as we don’t know the order of things, anxiety is imminent.

Now, even for all the above mentioned categories combined, I haven’t seen many people receive their letters. It could be that they are not sending mass acceptances or rejections yet, or it could be the case where, for those that are accepted, forum is nowhere near their train of thoughts…And, for those rejected, the shame factor could always play its role.

Anyway, as we’re still at the early stage of the admission window, there is still hope :)

Actually, I think the vast majority of those who have received their decisions are those who chose Business Administration as their major.

Geez seatac, I hope you’re right! I’ve kind of noticed the same thing.

WSU sends out acceptance sooner, chances are slsniff already got admitted at WSU.
