Thanks!

Your grades aren’t bad and you have some good ECs, but you really need to try to get your SAT score up.

Yeah, I’m going to take it for the last time in October. My goal is to get at least a 1900,so if I achieve that, will I get in?

If you are in the top 10% of your class, have a 1250 SAT with just reading and math, and have a 3.5 unweighted GPA, you are most likely to get in. (provided that you have adequate ECs)

Why do you think you have such a high GPA and yet got such a low score on the SAT?

Well I didn’t really know what to expect basically. Right now I’m ‘studying’ for the SAT in order to get a better score.

The Princeton Review makes a really good SAT study guide that I highly recommend. It really helps you understand how the test works and how it is graded, which in turn helps you strategize a little better when you are taking the exam.

I got in this year with only one EC and less community service hours. My GPA was higher but I’m sure you’ll get in. Just make sure you’re entrance essay is very good, thats a big part.
