I have family members in NY which were close two. One lives an hour away from the city and the other is in Brooklyn. I know people who live in Manhattan but really don’t know them enough to live with them. Also, the thing your talking about sounds great. Maybe next year and I would be able to get money for that. I was offered to go to NYC about three years ago to do print modeling for the summer. We didn’t go because it was too close to school. I was going to stay with one of those people. But I know my agent has someone who I could sign with for the summer for acting. I could go on auditions and take some acting classes. I would have to take the train or subway for my auditions and my aunt works. My parents told me last time that wouldn’t happen. They think I would get mugged or hurt. We are actually going to a wedding in July so I be in NY anyways. I go back to school in August so programs may be too late.

I also was going to go to UGA’s journalism workshop. I was going to apply for the scholarship for free, but it’s only $525 for 5 days. I was also trying to take Chemistry this summer so I could take AP Art History next year. It would be a relief that I wouldn’t have to take Chemistry in the school year but it wouldn’t be Honors. There really isn’t much where I live. I know some programs but it’s MT and some are more for little kids. I did a summer swim team last year but I was never there because I went to lots of places. I was also going to visit Bard College at Simon’s Rock & have an interview, but that’s only 2 and a half hours from the city. I also go to visit my grandparents for 2-4 weeks. So, lots of options for the summer. I don’t know how to convince my parents of the NYC idea. What do you think? Ty!
