I had been dreaming about going to Cherubs for Theatre for the past two years.
I applied Early Action, and received my deferred letter today.
So, I am now stressing out on the hunt for another pre-college summer (non-musical) theatre program.
Preferably under $6,000 and somewhere between the midwest and east coast. I would prefer to be involved in a Room & Board program, rather than one meant for commuters.
I've already looked at a plethora of them, but am totally open to all suggestions.
I am currently a high school junior with pretty solid grades.
I am planning on apply to colleges next year as an acting major, however, I am looking more at liberal arts programs rather than conservatories.
Thanks!

For some places, it is too late and for some others, it likely is not too late. Ones that still would accept applicants include pre-college programs at Carnegie Mellon, Emerson, Ithaca, Syracuse, Boston University, and University of the Arts. And I’m not sure the deadline for Walnut Hill.

There are others too.

University of Minnesota has a shorter intensive (11 days) that is only $1000 and is still open for applications.

[University of Minnesota Department of Theatre Arts and Dance](<a href=“Department of Theatre Arts & Dance”>Department of Theatre Arts & Dance)

University of Minnesota Stage Elements is a phenomenal program - both my kids did it.

Rutgers Summer Acting Conservatory is a great program. This year it’s from June 27 to July 25. Application deadline is May 1. Their website details the audition requirements.

That’s great to hear actingmom. We are considering it for our D.
