Summer Activities for a rising Senior

Well, I'm a rising Senior. I'm working on applications toward any IV league I can accepted into. For the summer, I'm not doing much amazing. I'm just studying Arabic for my fourth Language, and preparing for my fall classes. There's no chance of community college this year because of the budget cuts. Other than that, I'm studying for SAT of course. I'm also working on my rap mix-tape, and trying to improve my basketball skills. What are you guys doing?

I’m a rising senior as well. At the moment, I’m interning with an engineering company. During the weekends, I volunteer at a local museum. I’m also taking econ and govt online to free up my schedule next year. I’m not sure whether or not I should take the SAT again. I got a 32 and 34 the first and second times I took the ACT. My SAT score was a little over 2000. I’ve also been trying to find scholarship competitions, but most apps aren’t out until fall which is annoying. I want to start doing research for Siemens, but I’m not sure how to get started. All in all, not too much except for the internship.

^ You probably don’t need to take the SAT again unless you really want to.

I’m doing the following:

Working in a crystallography lab 5 days a week (attempting a Siemens project)
Shadowing doctors/observing surgeries 1-2 days a week
Practicing with a semi-pro soccer team (not on it, just practicing)
Learning Java on my own
Attempting to read Galileo and Da Vinci in their original Italian
Practicing SAT 1 and 2’s
Starting volunteering in August

I’m just trying to find a job. I’m going to start volunteering this week or so.

moonman, how did you get involved/find the crystallography lab?
