Summer after Freshman Year of Undergrad?

Hi,

I'm contemplating how I should spend my summer after my freshman year of undergrad. I'm thinking of some sort of community service program in a major city near my university or simply going back home & working because we all know college isn't the best thing that happened to our wallets. A lot of the fellowship programs/law firms seem to want sophomores & up, so I'm heavily leaning towards simply going back home and just working.

Please let me know any opinions & your personal experiences with summers before law school. Thanks for your time!

99% of law school admissions is GPA+LSAT score, so nothing you do in the summer will matter.

Take an easy summer class and boost your GPA.

Work retail. Travel. Otherwise, won’t matter.

Completely agree with the poster above. If you can do something related to law that you enjoy, go for it. Otherwise, improve your GPA and make money.
