Summer After HS Gaduation

<p>Are there programs for an incoming freshman to take classes this summer or to do some community service project while getting credit for it? I have read some information about Summer College First Program, Summer Bridge Builders of AL Program and Student Leaders in Academic Mentoring but it is not clear to me if these programs are only for either younger students or students who have already finished their freshman year. </p>

<p>Do any of you have experience with these programs and can tell me if it is too late or too early to apply for them? Also what is the cost? </p>

<p>Incoming frosh who are in honors can sign up for Outdoor Action or Alabama Action. I think the cost is about $200.</p>
