Hi everybody,

Does anybody know companies that accept interns who just graduated from high school? (I'm a current senior)

Thanks!

It depends on what you’re interested in, really! I’m graduating this year too, and I’ve been interning at my local NPR affiliate for the past two years. Community radio stations are great places to volunteer and intern, in my completely biased opinion
I also have friends who intern at local hospitals over the summer. Honestly, I’d decide what your career interest is, or even just a field you’ve always wanted to know more about, and start making phone calls. Be pushy. Send your resume around. People are busy and usually don’t respond, so remind them. You won’t be sorry!

If you are over 18 at the time of the application, you’ll probably be eligibile for housing at most of these Breakthrough sites (for a pre-professional teaching fellowship). I’ve taught twice, and it’s what made me want to become a teacher. <a href=“Become A Teaching Fellow - Breakthrough Collaborative”>http://www.breakthroughcollaborative.org/teach/apply
