Summer AP classes?

I’m interested in taking 2 AP classes online during the summer. But, the AP exams aren’t until next May…I doubt I’d be able to retain all the information…I imagine I’d have to self-study often to be ready for the exams in May…what do you guys think? Have any of you taken summer AP classes and then taken the exam in May? If so, how would/did you prepare?

I think the answer to your question mostly depends on which AP classes you plan to take. You wouldn’t want to take something like AP Chem or APUSH.

As for the exam, I was talking to a friend who took AP Physics 1 first semester of this year, and said that the exam would have been much easier if he had studied more in between the end of the class and the exam. But if you’re willing to put in a few hours a week, you shouldn’t have a problem.

Why not just take a college class?

The classes I’m interested in are AP European History and AP Art History, and maybe even AP Computer Science A.

I’m illegible to take college or Dual Enrollment classes through my school. They require a 3.5 GPA to take a test to determine eligibility. I couldn’t even take the test because I have a 3.2 GPA.

You could take the class online over the school year through apex learning or some other online school so that it wouldn’t all be in the summer. I think this would also help with pacing yourself for the AP Exam and remembering the cours
