<p>Is there actually a section on applications related to what you did over your summers? </p>
<p>I tend to think of summers as time to do what you want and work on specific skills. Personally, I'm reading and writing a lot, but that's nothing to tout on an application.</p>
That’s fine; there is nothing wrong with that, you don’t have to go to an expensive camp or anything, really. I’m spending this summer gaming mostly and I’m prepared to put down “hardcore gaming” as one of my summer activities. </p>

<p>I think I was asked on one or two of my applications. I think it asked for what I did the past two summers. During one I did Governor’s School and I didn’t do much at all during the other than visit family, and that’s what I put down.</p>
