Summer assignments?

Hey guys! How are you doing on this wonderful day? Care to share the workload that your teachers have indentured you with this summer? We all know that virtually everyone here chooses the most rigorous or stimulating schedule for them. So I wanted to see what summer assignments other students get and compare them to mine which may not be as bad. I will update my list later, seeing as my school has not yet competed the assignments. So yeah:
AP English Language-
Read " In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote
Do at least 25 journal entries (avoid the superficial commentary)
Read a book of your choice, at least 5 entires being 5 paragraphs long
Read and annotate Black Boy and Meridel Le Seur (?? I'm sorry guys)

Honors Spanish 4-
Watch 1 movie in Spanish each week
Watch the news in Spanish, ideally everyday
Complete pages 3-113 of the work book
Read "El Cid" complete activities A, B, and C for each chapter

Honors Pre-Calculus-
Problem packet

AP Physics 1-
Nothing so far, seeing as this is a new class. Hope I didn't jinx it.

AP Stats-
Nothing. There are no summer assignments for this course

APUSH-
I have yet to find out.

Yeah. So I don't think my assignments are bad at all. What are yours like? Sorry to ruin your summer so early guys. :P

English - Read a book, sticky note it, and questions
AP Psychology - Webquest (Packet)
AP Euro - Yet to be found out
APUSH - Map, Essay, and 3 Questions

I have about four or five books to read total. Multiple essays for English but they’re only supposed to be a half page each. A project and tons of notes to take.

AP World- Map thingy and read first few chapters
AP Chem- Read and answer questions and do an organic chemistry packet.

Too lazy to post here
<a href=“Home - Granada Hills Charter School”>Home - Granada Hills Charter School;
Taking: APUSH, AP Calc BC (maybe), AP psych, AP comp sci, AP physics 1
I think APUSH, calc, and psych are the ones with summer assignments

AP Calculus AB I have a simple math packet that covers Pre Calc and Algebra 2 stuff.
AP Chemistry I have to do 50 problems from the first 3 Chapters of the book. I did It last summer because I was planning to do AP Chemistry last year but then the class got cancelled. Luckily the summer homework is the same
AP USH I have to do Vocab and answer questions from the first 4 chapters of the book.
AP Spanish Language luckily I have nothing :)

AP US Government - Read Miracle at Philadelphia
AP Macroeconomics - Read Naked Economics w/ Question Packet
AP Physics 1 - Read Six Easy Pieces
AP Calculus AB - Complete Precalc review/Calculus Packet
AP Psychology - Read Opening Skinner’s Box w/ Question Packet
AP Spanish Lang - Read Cronica de Una Muerte Anuncaida
AP English Literature - Read any novel by Jane Austen (Pride & Predjudice) w/ 20 Journal Entries

(This looks a lot more horrifying than it actually is, I promise)

only AP lit has homework for me even though I’m taking two other Ap’s hm but we have to read great gatsby (my favorite book  ), brave new world ( hate that book as well as all other dystopian novels) and frankenstein with 4 journal entries each and seeing as I’ve already read two of them it’ll be pretty easy yay

I don’t really have any summer homework, but us kids doing IB English got a list of book that we’re reading next year and it’s recommended that we should read some over the summer so there’s less work during the school year. I’m sure going to read some because I’m a Diploma Candidate.

Reading. And a lot of reading. More reading.

AP lit - read two books, notes and an essay for each
AP Calc - take a Pre-calc class over the summer

Italian- write 10 journal entries about 10 articles. Learn a list of vocab.

H civics & gov: read a book and take notes.

APUSH: read a book and take notes. I’m going to read and study from the AMSCO book my teacher gave me as well.

H English: read two books and take notes.

AP Lang/IB English HL: read and annotate The Awakening and 4 criticisms that are 20 pages each, along with writing summaries for each of those criticisms

Chem SL: problem packet

AP Calc BC: we have a precalc and AP Calc AB cumulative exam during the first week school starts again

overall, not too bad. could be worse.

AP Lit/IB English HL: Read A Doll’s House (Henrik Ibsen), Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen), I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (Maya Angelou - RIP), and a MLK speech with some questions.

That’s it…

For some reason my school doesn’t give out summer assignments. So just some summer classes for me :)

@themarauders‌ I envy you!

AP US Government: Read “Eyewitness to Power” by David Gergen.
Honors English: Read “Tuesdays with Morrie”
AP Macroeconomics: Luckily None

No summer homework. Only math classes get any and I’m done with that.

At my school they emphasize doing summer assignments to help cover all the material in time for the AP exam but last year we spent a week or longer reviewing what we should have learned over the summer. I’d like to believe it’s maybe just that class in particular.

AP English Language- read and annotate two of a list of six they gave us {all the pretty horses by cormac mccarthy and for whom the bell tolls by ernest hemingway}

Honors Precalculus- Review packet

AP US History- Read 7 chapters from the textbook and answer approx 10 questions from each one

It’s not that bad but I have a super busy summer in the first place
