Summer at UCLA

Does anyone know if summer programs at UCLA help out during the admissions program at all? I did one called Summer Discovery this past summer for 6 weeks, and though not the entire program was through the school classes wise, we had the option of taking college classes for credit, which I did. I took Philosophy: Intro to Ethical Theory if that makes any difference. I'm hoping that UCLA will see that I am capable of getting a high grade in one of their classes the summer before senior year, and then will let me in! Ah that would be nice.

But seriously, do things like this help at all?

I did summer discovery once upon a time. I got an A- in the class, and I bet it helped a little (and I got to transfer it in). So yes its a good thing.
Also summer discovery kids are nothing at all like UCLA ones. the real thing is always better.

Of course the real thing is always better...I just hope I get the real thing.

it will definitely help as an extra curricular activity you did in the summer. i dont think they will give you special preference at ucla because you came here for the summer program.
