Hi! I am in a rut figuring out how to spend my summer before school wisely. I work and have been working for the past three years straight. I never even had a break between undergrad and work. I always somewhat regretted that. Now, between work and graduate school, I feel like I should take some time to run around the country and discover...mainly, in New York. Would it be unrecommendable to not make that last paycheck and instead blow some of my pittle savings in the name of "freedom"? Ugh does that even make sense?
thanks...

You probably won't have much free time once school starts and everything else that comes after it...

Lots of people do that before graduate school, because it pretty much is the last summer you can have completely off (assuming you live with your parents or something like that). I actually got so bored that I got a part-time job at Ralph Lauren to make a little money; it was nice as I got a bunch of really cheap clothes. I couldn't really afford to travel though.

That first stipend check can sometimes take up to a month to get after you start graduate school (at least in my experience), so it may not be wise to completely spend all of your money. I was damn near broke before my first check.
