Summer biological research opportunities for those under 16?

Hello everyone!

I was just wondering if you guys knew about any summer biological research programs for people under 16. I am a sophomore but I have a birthday in mid August, so I will still be 15 by the end of the summer, which makes me ineligible for most of the recognized ones out there intended for sophomores. The only ones I know about right now are SSP in Biochemistry (and I know they accept very few sophomores) and the University of Iowa SSTP.

If any of you all know of any others that I, and others like me, would be eligible for, it would be great if you could post them here (this includes internships etc)

Thanks in advance!

Wyoming SRAP has an internship program that sophomores can apply for. Pretty sure there are opportunities to research in bio as well.

https://wiscience.wisc.edu/SSI in Madison Wisconsin is a free 6 week program. Best chance of selection is if you are URM, Asian, from a rural district, or low income. My daughter did this after her junior year in high school.

After her sophomore year she went to http://www.sea.edu/high_school_programs to a slightly different version of this program. It is more environmental science/oceanography/marine biology focussed but they do a great job. Financial aid is available

RMP at UCSB is expensive, but there are a number of biology research projects.
