<p>Has anyone heard anything about this program? and is it true that it's only for nc residents?</p>
<p>Yeah its NC residents only and it’s pretty much reserved for people from poor or rural backgrounds. Coming from a wealthy area in wake county taking advantage of tons of ap classes I was denied from the program. Basically Summer Bridge allows underrepresented students an opportunity to “bridge” into college life by taking a couple of intro classes in the summer before freshman year and getting adjusted to campus and college life. The program is for people who didn’t have opportunities like AP classes and IB so the classes offered are like english 100, college algebra and precalc. oh yeah, its free.</p>
