Is anyone doing the Leadership Institute? If so, what course are you taking?

Oh hey everyone!! I was also accepted. I have no idea of what my GPA is but I have 3 A’s, one A- and one A+. I don’t think it’s supposed to be an extremely competitive program though. I cannot wait to meet you guys!!!

heytherejanae-I’m taking the Global Health course in the Leadership Institute! how about you?

I picked my course!
I’m going to be taking An Introduction to Ancient Egypt (July 11-July 29).
Is anyone else planning on taking this course? or Has anyone taken this course in the past and have opinions/experiences to share?

FA is not open to international students right?

@ziganal

nopee, it’s not.

YAYYYY!!! I was home sick with a stomach flu :/, and checked my mail, and was accepted, despite my pathetic stats. (YaY for acceptance :P)

Can’t wait to see you guys there!!!

RhythmMeleon, I was going to do the Leadership institute, but I found the course “to be human” more interesting course. When is everyone going? June 27 - July 8 anyone?

I was accepted to Summer@Brown a few weeks ago and I’m so excited Generally, I have A’s in my classes, but I heard that as long as you have least Cs, you’re probably going to get in. I’m taking Neuroscience in Health and Disease, from Jul 25 to Aug 12.

And to anyone who is asking about financial aid/Dean Scholarship, I sent my application for it in the beginning of March and I’m only going for about $600. They’re very generous, in my opinion.

I was accepted last week and my dad’s delay made me miss the scholarship deadline, and I hate begging my millionaire grandpa for money, so I’m only going for one week. I think I’m gonna take a political science course, a psychology course, or a world history course. Not sure on the dates yet… Anyone considering these?

I was oriiginally going for only a week money wise, but when you break the cost down the longer you attend the less expensive it is per day which is why I decided going for three weeks.

Oh janae i hope you enjoy ur course!
im going for 2 weeks
Beginning on july 25
How are u all transporting there?

I feel like im the only one paying the full 3k, i thought that fa was only for low income families.

Sent from my SPH-P100 using CC App

My mom is going to drive me there. But I heard that some of the best ways are to either take a train or a flight down there, and take a short taxi drive to the campus.

And does anyone know when the due date for the forms are?

I don’t think there’s a due date for the forms. Just send them in before you go.

I’m taking a plane to get there. Where are you guys from? I’m from GA! Any other people from the south?

I’m driving, not to bad I live about an 1.5-2 hors away.

Hey! I applied for the full 7 week one, is anyone doing it? Or do you think it’s too, unnecessarily long? Anyway, I’m from Chicago so I’ll be flying in!

I think I am going this summer! I applied an got in with a full ride. I’m not sure how the scholarship works but as long as you work hard and get decent grades, you should be in. If you are nervous, it never hurts to try!

I think I will be doing the Digital Video Production course, but I feel like no one will be taking it! If not, I suppose I’ll do a history course or something of the like. I don’t know how in-depth Digital Video Production would be at Brown with the plethora of courses - any alumni know?

I got accepted, but Im looking for a course that is currently wait listed. I do have a backup, but when I pay the primary $300 fee, how does it work if I want to put the wait listed course as my first choice, but have a second one just in case I do not get in, just so that it does not get wait listed as well?

anyone here going from 20-8?

Yep. For the anatomy course. hbu?

AGH. I was gonna do Intro to Music Production. But I just got accepted into the New Jersey Governor’s School in the Sciences, and I have to go. :(

SO UPSET. I was really looking forward to that course…
