Summer@Brown 2011

oh cool, I’ll be going for the literature one.

im soo looking forwards to Brown  its gnna be fun :)

^^^Me too! I’m going 27 June - 8 July! So excited!

Same here! The only thing I’m not so hyped about is actually getting there. Ill be making a veryyy long trip. We should facebook or something, before summer! :)

StanfordDuke: I’m doing the anatomy course as well :)

Can one of you please help :s
I just did the application for it and I left some parts blank cause i was confused on them (like the academic reference) and accidentally clicked this application is complete, so the app is submitted. What do i do I’m pretty worried?

Also, a couple questions.
1-Do I get to list my extracurriculars anywhere? I didn’t see a place on the app

2-do you guys think I’ll get in? I had a 3.0 freshman year and I now have a 3.6 sophomore year. Tough courses

As long as you can pay, you are definitely accepted :)

and another question to those who are done with the process… i just signed up for the course, i got accepted, and deposited $300, and said which course i wanted, and signed up for it… what happens next?

anybody know how hard it is to get into theatrebridge? still waiting to hear!

*for a male

@stanfordduke

not long after i confirmed my courses, i got a bill in the mail.
i wired the final fees & applied for my visa. and that’s it really. ahaha

and what about all the housing/food stuff?

fee wise, it was all included in the bill.

cool. and all the other info for registration and other stuff?

I haven’t gotten any info really, apart from the letter telling us abt the forms we have to send it, and another one about getting there or something. It’s all stuff from the website though, hahaha. And I paid pretty early… So we might get extra stuff in may I suppose.

hey, I was just wondering to apply for the summer session credit, the 7 week programs, do you have to be a rising senior?

i just applied for the clinical psychology course, i hope i get in!

nice… i still havent gotten my package in the mail… =.= how long does it take? i got the conformation from the $300 6 days ago, and i already picked courses and stuff… but idk if this is the problem… primarily i signed up for “The Body: An Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology”, and requested a spot for the wait list for “So You Think You Want to Be a Doctor: An Introduction to Medicine”… now i dropped “The Body: An Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology”, and added “Introduction to Bio-Medical Science: Cells, Tissues and Organs” instead, and “The Body: An Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology” is still on the wait list for me… is this why? and i live in California… so is that why?

They’re going to take a while to reply back to you and have everything in order. You have to consider the fact that they also have to answer questions/send forms/bill them for the students that are actually enrolling PLUS the high school students that are applying to their various programs. It just takes some time, but they’ll get back to you.

I took Leadership and Global Health last summer and it was a mixed experience. I met some of the most amazing people ever, and the course itself was really well formatted, had great professors etc. On the other hand, there was a lot of partying, a lot of people I met that weren’t really there to learn anything, more just to hang out away from home and have a “college” experience. It was really fun, and the leadership institute course was great, but in no way would I say that the application process was competitive, or that all the participants were intellectually inclined and motivated.

I applied to the Summer Credit Session (the 7-week one) and I was really confused about when we have to check out of the dorms. Do we check out and leave campus on August 5th or 6th? Do we have to take exams, and if so when are they scheduled?
