I've applied to Summer@Brown. I'm interested in taking either the Materials Engineering Course or the Engineering Biomedical Systems course if I get in. I'm still waiting on the dates for the Biomedical Systems Course. Both seem extremely interesting, but I do not know which one to take. Has anyone taken either of these courses and have any feedback on them? It would be greatly appreciated.
Also my basic stats are: 3.9 UW GPA
4.3 weighted GPA
Top 50 Public Highschool in NJ
EC's: Soccer, FBLA, Gifted and Talented, Chemistry League, Avid Rock Climber, Martial Arts
Is that enough to get me in? I have all A's and and 1 B in math for 1 quarter. (terrible teacher, I'm actually quite good at math)

That should be enough to get you in. I’ve heard Summer@Brown is not that hard to get into and that they accept most applicants… someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Ok thanks. It seems not to be competitive. If that’s the case will the classes still be intellectually stimulating? I am eager to learn more about biomedical engineering and or materials science.

You might consider this online free course which is open for enrollment right now: [Online Pre-College Courses in Engineering | Brown University](http://brown.edu/ce/pre-college/online/engineering/#exploring)

…then choose your Brown course for summer.

D went two summers ago. I don’t know how hard it is to get in but everyone she met there was bright and her course (neuroscience) was challenging. Most of the friends she has kept up with since then are now seniors and doing very well with ED/EA acceptances to CC-adored schools. For what that’s worth.

Thanks. I have actually taken this course but I seem find both of my aforementioned courses so interesting. Has anyone taken either of these courses and have any feedback on them?

I was at Summer@Brown last summer, and I had a great time! It’s not particularly competitive to get in. There was no essay or anything, and I think you get in as long as you are a decent student. Sinam327, I’m sure you’ll get in.

My friend took the engineering course. Her main interests are in political science, though, so she didn’t enjoy it as much as other people might have.

What I an say is that the teachers they have are definitely invested, and you’ll learn a lot!

There IS an essay :)

Oh, sorry! I didn’t have one for my program.
