Summer @ Brown

Hey Guys!

I have a quick question about the Summer@Brown Pre-College programs. I am currently a sophomore, and am planning on applying. I know that they use a rolling admissions basis, and I am applying quite late in the period. Can anyone tell me how many people they admit, and the stats of people who have been admitted. I have been doing bad for the first 3 semesters of High School, but am making it up from here on. I currently have a 3.5 UW GPA, and was still wondering if I could get in, as that is basically the only information they have about applicants other than a teacher reference and a small paragraph about yourself.

Thank You!!

hi im also planning to apply summer@brown pre-college program but im kinda worried too that it might be late already.
i have similar gpa with you and im not sure how many day admit…
but hope both of us can be admitted for this coming summer!

Hi
I applied for summer@brown a few weeks ago and got an acceptance letter a few days ago. My gpa is a 4.0 weighted…3.7 uw? StanfordDuke, I don’t think it’s that late…applications are accepted quite late(May) unlike TASP (January). I think it’s pretty easy to get in. There are a lot of courses to choose from so a lot of students can be accepted. When I was looking at other posts, it seemed like medical ones fill up quickest.
Good luck hope you get in!

Thank You wordgirl!!! And yes, hope that both of us get accepted orange5303!!

And also, I have just submitted my application itself, the online portal one. I am new to this, so can you please tell me how the mailing of the transcript and paying the application fees work?

First you need to talk to your guidance counselor and ask them for an official copy of your transcript, you can fax it, e-mail it, or send it, this link gives you the fax number/adress: [How to Apply: Pre-College Courses | Brown University Office of Continuing Education](Pre-College Program | Brown University)
There’s a tab on your account that says make a payment(you probably know this, but just in case…), once Brown receives your transcript, the tab will have information on how to pay. Hope this helps…I know how nerve-wracking it is waiting, but it will all happen quickly!

If you apply now you should be fine, there are plenty of courses still open, just make sure you hurry!
(FYI, the doctor course is already filled :P)
And I just got in with a 4.1 GPA UW but I don’t know if my school has the same system :)

i wouldnt worry to much about your grades, i have a friend who applied late and got in and he had a 3.4, so im sure you’ll be just fine!

That’s because they accept everyone who can afford it.
