Summer Calc Question

So I'm contemplating, well not so much anymore, I've basically already decided, taking Calculus over the summer at a local CC to get ahead. I want to wrap up basic calculus before I go to college, so I'd take it this summer (just finished pre calc) and start Calc BC senior year. I find math relatively easy so that shouldn't be a problem, I just don't know how the college system works.

Is "Analytical Geometry and Calculus 1" a direct equivelant of "Calculus AB" ?

I don't want to take it only to start Calc BC and find that I've missed half the AB curriculum.

Also, the "Calc 1" class is listed as being 4 credits, but I was under the impression that was only 1 semester. Do I need to sign up for "Calc 2" to complete the second semester of Calc AB?

I just don't understand what equates to what. Any explanations would be appreciated :)

In most colleges, Calc 1 is Calc AB, and Calc 2 is Calc BC.

So you only need to take Calc 1. College classes only last one semester.

Analytical geometry and calculus is probably equivalent to calculus AB. OTOH If you take a good introductory calculus class in CC and do well you probably can skip BC for next year too. AB and BC are almost the same thing except for maybe two weeks of material (on series). Anyway good luck!
