Hi I'm an incoming freshman planning on taking Expos over the summer?.
Could someone walk me through how to register? Do i just use my net id on the schedule of classes website? I only received it today so i haven't tried it yet. Also, would i be able to register even though i haven't taken a placement test yet? My CR score was above 600, so I'd automatically place into it anyway.

Hey I wrote on your wall. The teachers are now available to check. I think I might take Paul Belicheick or something like that. He has positive reviews so he seems to be the best for it. Are you going to go for him?

This is the link: [Rutgers University - Online Schedule of Classes](Schedule of Classes - Rutgers University)
Search for english comp and writing. You should be able to register. I haven’t done it yet, but I’m considering it.

If you are worried about your workload with expos, another option would be to take only 4 classes (12 credits) your first semester. So expos + 3 other classes.

If you are worried about taking more credits, take an elective during the summer at your local community college, that will transfer to Rutgers. At our local cc, a 3 credit summer course is ~$450 while a Rutgers course is ~$1200. (And you have to take expos through Rutgers)

According to my son, the expos class during the year had a regular rhythm to it, ie you wouldn’t be given writing assignments out of nowhere. You would read the selection, discuss in class, start writing your rough draft, submit, talk more about the work at the next class, get your paper back with suggestions, revise, resubmit, next work. It was all very predictable because they want to get you into a routine of reading, writing, and revising.

@gotmilk I replied on your wall, sorry I didn’t notice you posted before

@rualum I’m not really worried about anything like that, I just wanted to finish Expos over the summer since it’s “known” to be time consuming. Also it would probably give me a chance to get somewhat familiar with the campus and maybe meet some people in the process.

ok rgomes, just putting it out there. My son is taking an Expos 2 course this summer (to get it out of the way) and I was shocked at the cost (~$1300 for an online course!).
