<p>I plan on transferring to a UC in the fall of 2013. If I take classes in summer of 2013, do they still count towards my pre-reqs? I'm an Economics major, most UC's make Calc 1-2-3 as pre-reqs. I was initially going to take Calc 1 this summer and then finish Calc 2/3 during Fall and Spring, but I want to get a job this summer.</p>
<p>No. They do not use classes taken the summer before transfer for admissions purposes (except Merced). In other words, UCs will disregard what you plan to do the next summer for admission evaluation. Your application will not be treated any differently than someone who doesn’t plan to take the class at all. Definitely take it this summer if possible.</p>
