Summer classes a bad thing?

Just a quick question. If the requirement is 12 credits a semester to be considered full time, but you need 15 a semester to graduate, would it hurt me to take 12 during full terms and the other credits in the summer?

anybody out there?

How would it hurt you? I don't see how except that you would have to go to school again in the summer.

yeah i don't think it would..but why for those 3 measley credits.. well i don't have a basis for compare, still....i'd rather just chill

I would do it for a class I have a hard time with like MATH I am really bad at it, so I thought it would be easier if I only had to worry about that one class in the summer. I just thought it might look bad on my transcripts if I apply to law school.

Why not take 15 credits in the other semester?

Five classes in one semester can be hard. I personally don't like summer courses because they're usually condensed and you don't have as much time to discuss or absorb things, not to mention finish your work, but it works better for some people than taking five courses a semester.

yah thats a good idea, but I have to take algebra and one "Quantative thoughts" requirement so I would proberbly take each one in different summer terms.

I've taken 6 courses a semester before. Had no problem. And some were a little higher level courses too. But I guess that was because I had no job at the time.

uhhh... no, summer classes are not a bad thing.

in fact, summer classes tend to be easier than if you were to take them during the regular school year

I only wish that I could do that. But I have a husband, a job, and two kids, so that would be rough. plus it has been 10 years since the last time I was in school, and I remember less than I thought! But thats awesome that you can do that much...school is alot of work. and don't kid yourself, it's a full time job!

ps
god I feel old here! :)
