Summer classes hidden from transcript

Is it possible to take a course at a college during the summer and not do it for credit? So i don't have to report it to graduate school admission office

If the college offers courses that aren’t for credit, in theory. You may still have to report it since graduate schools ask for records from ALL previous institutions attended, but if you didn’t take it for credit there would be no grade for them to judge you on. My former community college had something called “continuing education” which were not-for-credit courses. But of course, if you’re getting no credit there is nothing to transfer and you arent satisfying prereqs or requirements or anything.

Just like emaheevul said, but also note that nearly all courses can be taken as “audits” and thus no grade and no credit, so it doesn’t have to be sent.

Now, if it’s at your home school, it will be on your transcript (most likely can’t opt out), but there still wouldn’t be a grade.

^ About auditing, that seems to be handled differently by each university. At my college we don’t register or pay to audit a course. We simply go to class (for big lectures) or ask the professor for permission to sit in on his class (for smaller classes). There’s no papertrail that we ever attended the class.
