I am waiting for the GT decision currently. I just finished my first year at another college and i have 31 credits that should transfer. Took calc 1 and 2, and physics 1, chem 1 and english etc... Ill either to go GT (if i get in) or Purdue (which i got into)

I am not sure if i should take summer classes at my current institution. I would prefer not to because it'll be stressful pulling a 4.0 here (i have a 4.0 atm), going right into summer taking calc 3 and physics 2, then go right into the intense GT program. I was considering getting a summer job because i have very little work experience and it seems like i should get a job because internships and companies etc want to see work experience.

What do you all recommend (lol). Is getting ahead by a couple classes worth it? Or should i take the summer off and get a job, relax and be fresh going into the new college?

I see yourself getting kicked within less than 2 semester but good luck if you do get in. If you think 4.0GPA from community college is high achievement, you are highly mistaken. Can't believe you are asking what should I do during summer. Make your own damn decision and stop acting like 5 years old.

Wow - what a sweet personality gtg567. Does your mother even love you?

Mister - I would try to get a job, obviously something relevant to what you want to pursue, even if you can find more money elsewhere. The experience will be more valuable down the line for internships.

lol, gtg... quite the pompous one aren't you? I do not believe I ever said I went to a community college. So don't assume anything. For all you know, I could have went to MIT. People transfer to other schools for multiple reasons. I just wanted to know what some students would do. Sometimes outside opinions help make a final decision. I must say that I recommend you pull the thumb out of your ass and /wrists.

Anyways thanks for the input. I did end up getting a job and taking an online class while working to keep me busy.
