Summer Classes

What's the maximum number of units you can take at a cc?
If this helps, Fullerton College.

Nevermind, I found out it’s 19.

I assume you mean 19 units for the fall/spring semester…how come it says summer classes in the thread title? It’s around 12 for the whole summer session.

taking 19 units over summer is a bad idea.

Bad idea? More like insane overload :S

Jfk, schools vary based on unit matriculation.

unit matriculation? I’ve never heard that phrase before

I’m pretty sure all UC transferable courses in a CCC are the same amount of units…

Take a look for yourself:

Los Angeles College: “STUDY LOAD: The maximum study load or unit limit is as follows: Fall or Spring - 18 units; Summer - 12 units. Winter - 7 units.”

Fullerton College:“MAXIMUM UNITS/HOURS
A maximum unit load for any student is 19 units per term.
Students may carry over 19 units only with a counselor’s
approval.”

Both are California community colleges yet both differ in terms of units allowed.

There’s a difference in the max amount of units you can take but all classes are worth the same amount of units which is what I was trying to say. I’m still confused by your OP… are you asking what is the max units allowed for the summer or for the Spring/Fall?

Ah I see, I got you.

My question was what the max units you can take at community colleges, but I guess they vary from campus to campus.

it appears that jfk and some others go to schools with quarters (i’m guessing).
