I'd like to go to law school but as a transfer student, I am behind credits-wise.
I can either take summer classes at a private university like Columbia or NYU or at a city college/community college for a fraction of the price.
Will it make a difference where I take my classes?

No it will not - I’m assuming you live in NY - go to a CUNY school for the summer classes. In the end, your degree will say the name of the university you graduated from, not your summer classes. I go to NYU btw. it is expensive!!!

well…it depends…they would love to see you finish the “core classes” for your major in a competitive environment. You can take some general education classes at community colleges though.
