Summer classes?

I've been thinking about taking some summer classes, preferably online. I was going to take English at the local community college, but their summer semester (June 14th - August 7th) interferes with the few summer plans that I do have because I'll be in Oregon starting the last week of July, and so can't be on campus to take the final.

I've also looked into a few online schools where I could maybe take my high school government class to get it out of the way before my senior year, but they seem to be really expensive. Why pay for a class that I can take for free if I wait to take it on campus next year?

I'd really like to do something constructive/learning-wise that I can get credit for this summer, because other than my vacation during the last week of July and most of August, I've got nothing else planned and would like to use that time wisely (hopefully to get ahead).

Any suggestions of things I might look into that would fit my needs without costing a lot? I'm in Nevada, if that helps. I've seen things like Florida Virtual School that look awesome, but unfortunately would cost quite a bit since I'm not a Florida resident. I can't seem to find anything here in Nevada that offers free online education, other than a few county-specific programs and things like Connections Academy that are more geared towards full-time online education during the school year.
