If going to an IVY summer college such as Cornell and recieving all A's will that give me a boost in Cornell and or any other IVY helping?

Well, my friend in high school went to college for the summer at Cornell in 2004. He did well. He applied to Cornell last year, mentioned that he took classes there for credit in the summer, yet was rejected. So, I'm not really sure of how much of a "boost" that gives you. It probably does help, but not to such a huge extent.

Certainly won't make admission a sure thing.

I wouldn't count on it. A guy at my school took Summer School at Harvard, and I think he was relying too much on that summer school as a ticket in. He was a great student; however, grades and summer school alone will probably not get you into any of the top schools. The best way to think about it is what makes you stand out as a person, a human being, not a statistic.

i think it would help if you could get a great letter of rec from one of the profs there, otherwise ditto to what the above posters said
