Summer College visits- Is it worth it?

Some schools do begin interviews when students are in their junior year (for late spring and summer) so look into each school’s schedules.

Summer vists are helpful, especially in the beginning when trying to judge the importance of various parameters. It is better to have a visit during the school year, but in reality it is difficult to do more than a few of these due to high school commitments.

So do some summer visits. Be prepared to do visits during senior year too, especially in April for “accepted” colleges. Many have “accepted students weekends”.

Better yet, make some of the applications EA Early Action (NOT binding ED). That will give a chance to spread out visits to schools with known acceptances.
