<p>It can definitely be hard when you’re visiting LACs. Especially because some LACs rent out their facilities to summer camps or other large group activities. Doesn’t exactly give you a good sense of the school when the only people you see are teenagers there for a soccer camp! But, the tours tend to be smaller and you usually can see more of the campus. You just have to use your imagination about the students. </p>
<p>That being said, some LACs offer summer programgs that can give your kid a good sense of the campus while also doing something they find interesting. Smith does one for science and engineering.</p>
