Summer College

I am a junior in high school. DO you think it would be benificial to apply to the summer business leadership program, if I want to apply to the school?

I did the Introduction to Veterinary Medicine program between Junior and Senior year, and it gave me a good feel for Cornell, and a basic idea of what I wanted in a college.

As for attending the SC being helpful in admissions, I don't know. I was waitlisted.

How long did you have the class each day? is there anything else planned for the students to do? also, can the professors write recomendation letters?

Vet kids and Architecture kids seemed to have the most class each day, so I'll start with them: we had three hours of class in the morning (two hours of lecture, one hour seminar), a break for lunch, then a three-hour lab every afternoon. The Architecture kids spent most of their time working on their projects.
Other people had less class than us, but more homework. We were supposed to read our entire book, but both our exams were open-book, so I just skimmed it.

They had something else planned for us almost every day, but it was usually optional. One night my friends and I went for free bowling, we took a day-trip to the Syracuse mall, that sort of thing.

Professors can probably write reccomendation letters, but I didn't ask mine; there were 50 kids in our class and he didn't even know our names. Which was fine, he was still a very good teacher. I guess it depends on the prof and your class size.
