Summer Course Advise

Is it a good idea to take Math 53 and 54 over the summer? How hard is it going to be?

And also, is it common to take 8 units of class?

Any advice and suggestion about summer courses, not necessarily about the two above, are welcomed........

8 units in 8 weeks is roughly equivalent to taking 16 units in a semester.
The thing is, these are two tough courses. It is doable, but you may have to offer much of your free time to the math gods in sacrifice to ameliorate their wrath.

where do students stay during the summer? is there particular residence hall that stays open for the summer?

Unit 2

FYI, I-House costs about the same during the summer as Unit 2, and Unit 2 is hella far from campus, so look into I-House.

Aren’t the rooms in I-house mostly single?

If I recall correctly, only graduate or professional students get the singles. Undergrads only get doubles.

anyone here with experience on summer classes? is it miserable? how’s the workload? Is it the same as a normal semester… or much harder?

I heard the grading is much more lenient… ?
