I was about to sign up a summer course at UCB to fulfill for one of my major requirement. As I'm planning to transfer next year, I don't want the class bomb my cumulative GPA. So I wonder if I should choose a P/NP or a letter grade. Any suggestions? I'm not confident enough to ensure myself to get a B in the course..</p>
<p>I would check with your major department (where you are transferring) and see if they allow pre-reqs for the major to be taken P/NP. However, most majors require a letter grade for all courses taken within the major.</p>
<p>take class for letter grade. if you don’t think you’ll do well, you can change it to P/NP in the middle of the summer session. there is a deadline though</p>
