The summer before junior year I took a creative writing course at Brown and got a positive performance report I’d like to include on my application. Is there anywhere I could upload it on the common app? I know some schools have an extra space for uploading documents but none of mine do, as far as I’ve seen. Here is my list:
Brown, Dickinson, Hamilton, Kenyon, Muhlenberg, Oberlin, Smith, Swarthmore, Wellesley, Wesleyan
I’d recommend you email the admission offices of these schools directly with this question. They’d respond by stating their own respective policies while being happy to engage with a prospective student.
Are you hoping for a major in any way related to creative writing? Is this a stellar review?
As an example, Dickinson says after you get your login info, instructions for uploading materials are right there. Keep checking for the other colleges, before emailing.
Adding: Google the college, admissions, and upload.
Yes I’m planning on a creative writing major, and I haven’t entered any competitions so there’s no other measure of my skill with fiction on my application. The performance report was very positive, the only vaguely negative thing he said was to delve into my character’s psyches more, so I think that it would be a net positive. Thanks for the advice, I’ll look into that!
