Summer courses? Community college?

Before I start this, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section/thread.

Anyways, I am currently a sophomore in high school and I am not in math honors (I'm in an regular class) so I'm taking geometry. Due to this, I will not be able to take a science AP because you need 3 years of regents math. I am also in an earth science regular class; I was suppose to be put into chemistry, but they did not allow me because I did not take geometry previously so they dropped me to a regular class when I was in honors biology freshmen year.

Due to all of this complicated stuff, I am one step behind a little more than 50% of my class which I absolutely hate because I feel like it will affect my chances of getting into a college I want to get into (Penn State). I would really like to take a science AP in my junior year so I was thinking about taking a HIGH SCHOOL summer course in a community college (specifically Nassau Community College) for algebra 2/trig and for chemistry (both regular classes) so I can catch up with my class and take a science AP in my junior year.
I was thinking of taking the algebra 2/trig regents in August with the people who failed the first time. I'm not sure if I can do this with all the common core stuff though.

Is it possible to take a high school summer course at a community college to catch up with my class?
Will I be able to go straight into an AP class in junior year?

Here are the courses at the community college near me:

I'm not sure what is meant by "off-site high school courses":

Thank you.

Please don’t post duplicate threads. Off-site high school courses are most likely dual enrollment courses taken at your high school for which you can get college credit (based on the price and description). If so, they are not offered in the summer. <a href=“Nassau Community College - College Catalog - Admissions Information”>http://collegecatalog.ncc.edu/current/policiesandprocedures/admissions_info/</a> This has all the info you need. There is no such thing as a high school summer course at a community college or a high school course at a community college for that matter. They are college level classes. As a high school student, you would be taking college classes with college students. Taking chemistry at a community college is equivalent to taking AP chem, not high school chem.

<a href=“Nassau Community College - College Catalog - Chemistry”>Nassau Community College - College Catalog - Chemistry; the chemistry course you want to take has a math requirement and a prerequisite high school class (As in you have to take chemistry in high school first).

The algebra course is a remedial course which you would not want to take. There is an “algebra 2” class, but you would again be with college students and it is not a high school course- it is a college course. You would also have to take a placement test to be able to take that course. There is also no guarantees that your high school would accept it.

Overall, you don’t seem to understand what a college course entails. I do not recommend you take either course.
