I know that it isn't recommended to take summer courses for pre-meds, but are any of the ppl who are doing pre-med taking or have taken or plan to take DECs during the winter or summer sessions to ease their workload. If so, please comment on this idea, the overall impact on med school admissions, and what are good classes (or annoying ones) that are better to be taken during this time. Thanks.

you probably didn't hear correctly, but they only care if you take major courses at a community college....if your courses are taken at a 4 year it shows you are able to handle them at university level. TONS of people take summer courses....it really doesn't matter, especially if you get an A. Im probably taking physics over the summer.

Why should they care if you take a course over the summer at your regular school?

BTW, stony has a winter session..
