Summer courses?

Hey, I've got a quick question about summer courses. I plan to take a politics course at Rutgers U this summer, and am planning to go into polisci/gov in college. Will it look good on my application that I took this course? Or will the colleges I'm applying to not really care (American, George Mason, Maryland, Boston)? If I were on the border of acceptance and rejection at one college, would having this course help me get accepted? (I'm a junior, by the way) Thanks!

well i guess, if you put it that way it would.
just remmember the most important part is that u take it becuase u LIKE it.

Hey are you doing the Rutgers High School Scholars program? Because I am. Deadline for the third term is June 10th don’t forget!
I’m taking an American Government class (meets 4 times a week in the morning ughhh), prof. is D. Andersen I believe, and possibly an employment relations night class.

It definitely shows you have an interest in your intended concentration, and Rutgers credits are widely accepted. Just make sure you do well in the class, because you will HAVE to report the transcript to any colleges you apply to.

Pch340,
I’ve already been admitted :)! I’m taking “the nature of politics”. Gov. was my second choice, as I’m taking AP gov as a senior. How do you find out who the professor is?

you can talk with the university or im pretty sure u can find out on their website

You can use the third option on this to look up the class.

I just applied today, I’m hoping it’s not too selective.
What were your grades like btw?

I don’t believe its selective at all. My transcript only went up to sophomore year (im a 4th semester junior), so I had like a 3.6 W. But I also sent in a photocopy of my current report card, with all my precious A’s and Aps on it. I heard back the day after. But it’s first come, first serve, so get that in quickly.
