Does Duke accept credits from classes taken at local community colleges?

not community colleges, you have to take classes at 4yr schools and take the classes against university students (not independent study)

You can actually get prematriculation transfer credits for courses taken at a community college prior to matriculation at Duke. There is a form on the registrar's website that you have to fill out and submit. You also need to submit a transcript of all the work done as well as a copy of the syllabus for each course. These credits may count towards the 2 elective credits you can get from AP/college coursework completed in high school if you're in Trinity. I'm not sure about Pratt. All the coursework shows up on your transcript as prematric credits and you can use them for placement into higher level coursework.

oh yea, sorry, i assumed postmatriculation summer classes. i know several people that have gotten credit/placement for math courses taken at community colleges before coming to duke

you need to get approval and fill out paperwork and stuff

hey, I looked on the website for the noted paperwork and I couldn't find it. I found the email that we were supposed to send information to, but no paperwork. could someone link me by any chance?

This is the form I used for the courses I'm currently taking. Not sure if there's a different form for those looking for credit from community colleges.
