Summer Credits

<p>Hi, I'm thinking about UCSD, but before I decide I was wondering about summer credits. If I take classes during summers at a local community college, will the credits transfer? I could also take classes at a nearby UC, but it would be much less convenient. </p>

<p>Also, if they do transfer, can they count toward a program of concentration/area of study or for a minor?</p>

<p>I really like French, but UCSD doesn't have much of a French department, from what I've read, which is why I'm curious.</p>

<p>talk to your dept. some won’t let you apply non-uc courses there even though assist.org may say they do</p>
