Summer Engineering Camp For Rising 12th Grade Girl - Suggestions?

EPIC began as a program for female high school students. OP, you might be able to plan a nice family vacation in California while your daughter attends. Applications open on March 2.

UConn has a one week program. https://edoc.engr.uconn.edu/explore-engineering/

A friend’s DS attended the 2 week camp at Stevens Institute of Technology in NJ. He really enjoyed it and is now majoring in engineering at Pitt.

ECOES - 2 weeks
Modules may include: Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Engineering, Physics and Optics, Robotics, and Software Engineering.

Engineer Boot camp - 1 week
Modules may include: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering Management, Industrial and Systems Engineering

Exciting ideas in prior posts! I hope one of the options works out.

This is the one we’re looking at for out 10th grade daughter for this summer. Probably the one-week program. Which one did your friend’s child do?

Ah, I see it was the two-weeker.

I would bet money that the majority of public (and probably private) universities with strong engineering departments host summer engineering camps of various types. All three institutions with which I have been affiliated (Illinois, Texas A&M, Arizona) have these types of programs.

Milwaukee school of engineering and Michigan State have really good ones, not terribly expensive and you can get aid if you need it. Robotics at MSU and Msoe is multiple types and all well done

I second the Michigan Tech suggestion … it’s been running forever (I did it back in the 80’s!). Probably something closer for a Maryland kid, but if anyone else is reading this …
