My friend's son is looking for a summer program for engineering.
He's currently a junior, very good in science and math. He's interested in exploring the various aspects of engineering through a summer program. He's looked into the IEP program at Notre Dame, but would like to compare it to similiar programs offered elsewhere. Could anyone please pass on the names of other programs he can look into? Thanks!

I think that JHU has an engineering program associated with CTY. Check its website.

At Carnegie Mellon's summer Pre-College program, students can take regular CMU classes such as Intro to Electrical Engineering. My daughter attended this before her h.s. senior year, and it was a good experience.

Rose Hulman has a summer program called, I believe, Operation Catapult for h.s. students interested in engineering.

And check Purdue.

The University of Missouri at Rolla runs Explosives Camp. I want to go!!! Unfortunately, they don't accept the geriatric set.

look on the engineering major thread for some suggestions.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I look forward to hearing more. I will check the engineering thread as well.
