summer enrollment problems

i can't enroll in chem 14bl for the summer. ursa won't let me. is it b/c i haven't fulfilled the requirement? i am taking chem 14a now...

the 14bl disc i want is almost full so please get back to be soon!!!!!! how long does it take for 6 spots in this class to fill? it's summer session a.

i've successfully enrolled in music though.

Do i need a PTE number w/e that is?

hmm, im not sure how it would work if you plan on taking 14B in spring, because BL requires 14B as a pre/corequisite. you should go to murphy and ask.

if you want some advice on planning, i would recommend taking 14B and Bl together (BL/CL are sooo over-rated regarding difficulty). Then take an LS class over the summer.

oh, i'm having the same problem. I wanted to enroll in 30AL and 30BL but it won't let me take 30BL. or LS4. -__-;;;

try signing up for 14B along with BL. or yeah, just ask murphy.

No, go to the chemistry ug department. On the fourth floor of Young. Why walk to Murphy? (Where is Murphy?)

This is what I got from info@summer.ucla.edu

UCLA SUMMER SESSIONS

UCLA students who are precluded from enrolling in Chemistry or Biochemistry courses due to requisite checking may contact Denise Mantonya at denise@chem.ucla.edu
for assistance with waiving the requisites. Please include in your e-mail your student ID number, the course you are trying to enroll in, and the course ID number.
Enrollment status will be confirmed by return e-mail.

i enrolled into 14A then dropped it and now it has a "D' on URSA. its not one of those drops that show up on my transcript is it?

FireEmblem,

Don't worry it doesn't.

wait FireEmblem... did u enroll in 14a for the summer and then drop it? cause i think there's a $100 fee for dropping any summer classes... ><

I'm not sure but I think there is $100 fee if you drop ALL the summer classes.

for summer 08...i decided i didnt want to take it this summer

what are the main differences btwn session a and session c??

i'm not sure if i should enroll in c as well. i don't mind staying here all summer! if i'm not sure, should i just enroll anyway and drop it later if i decide not?

tentative plans:
session a: GE, chem lab
session c: english 10a, ls 3..

if i completely drop session c, when is the last day b4 a fee is involved?

**by the way, my chem lab problem is solved: go to the chem office and fill out this pink slip and they'll process it...

anyone heard of a prof named TABANCAY teaching ls 3? he/she's not on bruinwalk.

DWM,

http://www.summer.ucla.edu/Calendar/current.htm

i c that there's multiple session As...what are the certain groups classes for each? all of the classes i'm interested in are the 6 week one. that'll be nice to have more weeks so it won't be as cramped. but i don't really have a choice...just curious.

Most summer classes are 6 weeks. Math classes are 8 weeks. I don't know about 9, 10 weeks course.

anyways i'm taking Chem 30AL, BL, and LS 3,4 this summer. it'll be awesome :P

That's a joke, right? Or at least over the two sessions

oh dear god. you wont sleep for 12 weeks. like at all.

dawritingmachine:

doing both sessions a and c seems okay right now, but it isnt too fun once you actually experience it. well, some of that downside came because i was stuck with a floor made completely of HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. i was the only 2nd year on the floor, because i wasn't legal and still needed "supervision." *** is this. *** UCLA?

anyways, it is a very long time, especially if you can't go back home (aren't you a transfer student?). i took math 3c, chem 14bl, and psych 100b. (BTW, taking labs over the summer is worth it if you have henary as your prof. he's the easier of the lab professors). it was managable for...perhaps the first 8 weeks. The rest of the weeks were tedious, because my friends back home were still on their summer break and I could'nt take part in anything.

just be sure that you can handle the workload. students need a break too.

you crazy.
